Default Tlon: A Misty Story - impossible to complete?

I have a simple question: Do You know, or maybe heard of a person who actually completed Tlon? :)

I'm currently playing this very rare adventure game. It's actually quite interesting, despite awful dialogues and some frustrating fights. Unfortunately, Wikipedia says that "Due to a bug, the player can never get to Tlön, so the game is impossible to complete". Because I never saw a single walkthrough of the game, I'm starting to think it may be true. On the other hand, Wikipedia often is not the best source of information.

Right now I'm stuck halfway through the game. I still have a hope it's not "the end". :)

I heard that the game is very good, but you cant complete it. Why not try and find a patch? How old is the game exactly?

Patch for Tlon? I don't think it ever existed. That's the main problem. :)

By the way, Tlon was released in 1999. Developed by Emerald and published by Midas.

Hi Elum,
I found a forum post about Tlon at Mr. Bill's Adventureland forum
Maybe Mr. Bill can help you, since he had a walkthrough at one point.

I gotta check that out. What I wonder is if any one was ever capable of beating any of the other Myst games out side of the first one without using a walkthrough.

???
Tlon is not part of the Myst series.
But yes there are people who solve Myst games without a walkthrough -- the first 3 games anyway.

I may be able too help you out, As my uncle who ran Emerald software. Weather or not any of the original material was ever kept. But you never know, Send me a message if you are interested. The company went bankrupt. This game was made in 2000,Under US patents. I think.

Even if the company is bankrupt, the game has not been legally released as freeware. So, no.

Please see What's not OK to post? in the AG forum rules for more information.
