SCI Resource Viewer
I was wondering if anyone here has this tool. I would very much like to have it as I'm working on something and need to have a look at the files in Gabriel Knight 2.
This guy I talked to said he has it and might upload it, and I hope he will.. but I figured I'd ask here as well, just in case. The reason I ask is the SCI Resource Viewer homepage is down EDIT - a very cool guy sent me the program so I'm no longer looking for it. If anyone wants to grab it, he uploaded it here - http://www.sierrahelp.com/forums/vie...6&p=4994#p4994 It's a REALLY nice program for looking at files in Sierra games! This program is an awesome tool! You'll discover amazing secrets hidden inside the files!
Have fun! And, if you find something amusing, tell us!

Yes, it's really nice
I'm modifying a Spanish subtitle patch (translating the text to English).. so we can have English subtitles in GK2. That's why I needed it to find text files |

Really? It must be a grand work, there are so many lines of dialogue and descriptions! If only I knew Spanish, I'd have given you a hand!

Oh no, it's not as hard as you think, not when I have the English text files. I'm just replacing the Spanish with English, not translating anything myself.

It's still a lot of work though, I found out today. Currently playing the game and writing down all the lines in the videos.

Thank you for the offer. However, I don't need to understand Spanish in order to translate it to English. What I do is just play the game videos and write down what they're saying and then replacing the Spanish with the English I've written down.
But if someone wants to help me do that, I'd gladly accept as it is pretty boring |
