Default Your Favorite Sub-Genre

After my thoughts about the crime/thriller trend, I decided to make a public survey. The question is pretty simple: concerning adventure games, what is your favorite sub-genre?

Well, a game successful at blending genres (horror, mystery, sleuth, drama) like Gabriel Knight is a rara avis, since this is one of the few characteristic that set masterpieces apart from other, less fortunate, attempts.

But if I have to choose a single genre, I would definitely say horror.

Horror, but Film Noir elements are always welcome as well.

Definitely horror/mystery, although I like a good wacky comedy as well.

I don't like horror at all. What's wrong with us Andrea, we used to agree in everything!?

I'm sure my horror is very similar to your mystery. I'm really sure, tsa!

Fantasy environments like Myst/Rhem - a strange world where exploration and experimentation lead you to find out what happened.

I've just seen that the majority of the games I love are categorized by Adventure Gamers as Mystery, Surreal - so Mystery Surreal it is!

Yay! So, tsa, are you planning on try Chronicles of Mystery (mystery surreal conspiracy)? I shall have it by tomorrow or the day after tomorrow!

O, I don't know yet. I am now working on Sinking Island, and after that I will see. Sinking Island is pretty good BTW, especially compared to Paradise, its predecessor.
