There Are Two Types of People That Play Adventure Games...
How would you finish that sentence?
Try it out and pretend (if only briefly) that life is dichotomous, black & white, and ridiculously oversimplified. Here's one for you: There are two types of people that play adventure games: those that simply play, and those that also read and write about playing them.

There are two types of people that play adventure games: those that simply have fun, and those that secretly want to make their own adventure game that will blow everyone away.

There are two types of people who play adventure games: those who would prefer to be of the other type and those who are fond of how they ended up being categorized.

Those who like hard puzzles, and those who hate them.
Those who love the Sierra games, and those who don't. Those who care more about the quality of story, and those who care more about the quality of the puzzles. Those who prefer first-person, and those who prefer third-person. |

There are two types of people who play adventure games: those who use walkthroughs and love the experience, and those who are willing to perservere with obscure puzzles, and work it out for themselves.

There are two types of people that play adventure games: those who won't play anything made before the year 1999 because the graphics aren't good enough, and those who have been let down by every game made since 1999.

There are two types of adventure gamers: those who used a walkthrough to get past the bit with the goat in Broken Sword 1, and those who have not played Broken Sword 1. (Or are lying.)

Once again, I don't buy this. If someone cares about graphics so much, they wouldn't even play the newer adventure games because they are almost never up to date graphically. And even when they are, the graphics are pre-rendered and don't do anything extremely impressive (like real water effects or physics or "mess with your sense of scale"). Also, your statement seems kind of weird in that someone could be both types of gamer. Of course, that doesn't make it wrong.
