Need some recommendations
Hey everybody,
I'm Dan, from the UK, this is my first post, and I desperately need some new adventure games to play.... My main criteria are 1. No first person perspectives 2. In English 3. Can't die / Get stuck 4. As few timed / action sequences as possible 5. I prefer light hearted ones, with a few jokes here and there Here's a long list of the ones I've played, I'll probably forget a few, but there we go GAMES I LOVED 1. Grim Fandango 2. Monkey Island 1-4 3. Broken Sword 1-3 4. Day Of The Tentacle 5. Full Throttle 6. Sam & Max Hit The Road 7. Sam & Max Seasons 1 + 2 8. Flight Of The Amazon Queen 9. Indiana Jones & The Fate Of Atlantis 10. Beneath A Steel Sky 11. Leisure Suit Larry 1, 3, 5, 6 12. Discworld 1+2 13. Gabriel Knight 1 14. Toonstruck 15. Blade Runner OK 1. The Dig (A bit dull) 2. Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade (too much fighting / ability to die) 3. 5 Days A Stranger (all 4 games) (die very easily) 4. Maniac Mansion (die very easily) 5. Runaway 1 + 2 (a bit dull) 6. Leisure Suit Larry 2 + 7 (2: die very easily/ 7: just a bit crap) 7. Loom (dull) 8. Zak McKracken & The Alien Mindbenders (very easy to get stuck) 9. Simon The Sorceror 1+2 (just wasn't that keen) 10. Discworld Noir (not enough proper adventuring) 11. Gabriel Knight 2 (poor acting, and ability to die) 12. Starship Titanic (interesting, but first person, and buggy as hell) CRAP 1. Secret Files: Tunguska (awful voice acting, crap story) 2. Keepsake (don't get me started on this.... worst game I've ever played) 3. X-Files (bad bad bad) Anyway, your help would be greatly appreciated |

Why no first person perspective? There are some great ones out there that don't induce vomiting , if that's what you're worried about.

I dunno, I've just never clicked with a 1st person one, I guess I'm just an old fashioned point and click type guy the only FPPs I've ever slightly enjoyed were normality and starship titanic.... I guess I just like to see my character
Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I've just finished longest journey, really enjoyed that, so I'm going to have a crack at dreamfall |
