Most impressive. I'm really looking forward to playing this one, if it ever gets released in the U.S.

Thanks for the kind thoughts guys.

It's so rare for an adventure to be nominated in an award of this magnitude that I'm pleased just to be on the shortlist. I also thing it's great for the genre as a whole.

I suspect that Heavenly Sword is the favourite.

I can't wait to play So Blonde! I haven't played none of the other games shortlisted, except for Black Plague, but I certainly hope that you'll win!

Shouldn't be too long Gabe, it's just being released in the UK.

Congratulations, Steve. That's the most ringing endorsement for the game I've yet heard.

Could someone tell me if So Blonde has actually been released in the UK yet?

I've looked on the Game, Amazon and Play websites and they don't have it listed as in-stock. Popped into my local Game earlier today and no luck there either.

#Edit - Is this post a record for the biggest gap between a first and second post? Over three years!!

I got mine from Game.co.uk 2 days ago and are nearly finished with it.

I'm having SUCH a great time with it.
I DO love the references to his old classics in there, lol.

Anyway, unfortunately I forgot I had the game on pre-order, so I actually also bought it off ebay for less, than game.co.uk wants for it.

You're welcome, it's well deserved

One thing Adventure gamers always complain about, is to not have enough interaction or reaction on items in the game.
This one certainly doesn't suffer from that

Edit:
I have to say, that since I'm near the end, I'm reluctant to fire it up, because it means the wonderful time I'm having soon will - well...stop!

Then you should think about purchasing the upcoming DS or Wii versions (2009), which will be different in many ways and will offer lots of new stuff.

Steve Ince kindly gave me an interview, where we talked about the new versions of So Blonde (and other things aswell)

( Link to the whole interview: http://www.adventurecorner.de/pages.php?id=305 )
Quote:
SI: Probably around 80-90% of the game’s story and design is different. While a number of the locations are re-used, some are completely new and others have been re-worked to fit the new formats. Many of the original characters make an appearance, but there are also new characters and some of the originals aren’t in this version.
There is even a new playable character and the way that he and the other characters relate to Sunny gives a very different but complementary view of the unfolding story.
Although the PC and Nintendo versions are completely stand-alone, players who play both versions will be rewarded by very different developments and playing one will enrich the experience gained from playing the other

Many congratulations Steve! This means not only recognition of you as a writer but also of the adventure game genre as being alive and kicking.
