Cyber-Punk or Post-Apocalyptic
Howdy
I'm a sucker for cyber-punk adventures (all hail Tex Murphy) or Post-apocalyptic games. What games do you recommend me in these styles? Good games of course |

A classic one is Beneath a Steel Sky, pretty cyberpunk.

Yes Steel Sky is a must play for cyberpunk.
For Post Apocalyptic, the Fallout series is great and Fallout 3 is just around the corner (except for Australian players, don't know what happening there with censorship).

Oh yeah, Blade Runner is a classic. About 1/2 of The Longest Journey also has some good cyberpunk elements.
I have yet to see any real steampunk adventures. Would love to see an old western type game with a Brisco County Jr. feel to it, haha. |

Stay just away from The moment of Silence and Culpa Innata: they're two of the worst games I've never played.
Apart the obvious and great Blade Runner, I recommend you to try the old Neuromancer: directly inspired from Gibson's book, it has a great storyline and a solid gameplay, with a wonderful character design.

Moment of silence, the longest journey(not pure cyber punk though), beneath a steel sky, culpa innata are all games I really enjoyed.
Also nightlong was pretty good.... Blade runner may also interest you... although I didn't think it was that great. I recommend you see the movie instead.

If you can get Fallout 2, granted its about 10 years old, and put in Killaps Restoration Mod, it's well worthwhile. Apart from generally patching the game it adds in new quests as well as integrates one that were originally planned for the game but taken out later.

Okay, here's some more games....
Dreamweb, looking extremely crude now, is very short, you might be interested, maybe not. Bloodnet. A really old game which is more RPG. Let down by a chronically bad turn based combat system, potentially decent though. One that I've heard was good was Hell-A Cyberpunk thriller. These are all old games though. Plus theres "I have no Mouth and I must Scream" which is...different. |

Apart from Culpa Innata. Didn´t appeal to me much, so I quit after about half an hour. But I may give the game another chance during the cold and long winter nights |

There is a game called Hell:A Cyberpunk thriller but I'm not sure how good it is. Voice acting from Dennis Hopper, Grace Jones, and I think Carolyn Seymour.

I remember playing Shadowrun on my Super Nintendo in the mid nineties. That was one of my favourite games at the time. I haven't played the recently remade one, though, critics say that was pretty bad.

I've never played the console Shadowruns but don't call this new one a remake as it is a poorly done online only multiplayer FPS.
When you think what could have been done with the Shadowrun licence and they do that... |

I remember I once started the game and have given up already during the intro. The graphics just looked too disgusting.

Shadowrun for the Genesis was brilliant and ten times better the SNES version. If you want a great cyberpunk RPG with adventure elements then it's one you'll want to play.
