2. Nocturne
3. Stupid Invaders
4. Sam & Max Hit The Road
5. Day Of The Tentacle

The brilliant ones: Black Dahlia and Azrael's Tear

A very good one: Realms of the Haunting (combination of adventure game & fpp shooter)

There was so little going on in the early 2000 that nearly every title that featured some original element was noticed.

Confusing "underrated" with "favorite."
It always happens in threads like this.

Most games that I've enjoyed aren't underrated, but here are some lesser known ones that haven't been mentioned...

Mission Critical
The Vampire Diaries (I don't know if the humor was intentional, but...)
Touche: The Adventures of the Fifth Musketeer
Armed and Delirious
Byzantine: The Betrayal
Dark Side of the Moon
Pilgrim
Faust

I don't know if the following would be considered underrated
Obsidian
Morpheus
Nightlong

I even think that Morpheus and Nightlong are overrated.

I use Rose Tattoo in my opinion because where I lived the game certainly didn't enjoy wide distribution, in fact it became easier to get on the big box budget re-release than it's original full price release, but even then the game wasn't the easiest to get.

What was the general opinions of Innocent until Caught and Guilty?

Not underrated, but under appreciated: Sanitarium (1998).

Sadly, not enough people know of that one, and it's one of my all-time favorites.
