Default ScummVM Wii Port WITH wiimote support

It looks as if a true Wii port of ScummVM is out, with support for the Wii Remote.

Though it's still in testing phase, it sounds like some games run on it like Full Throttle and the Monkey Islands.

Here's a video of someone running Full Throttle on the Wii:

Here's the link to the wii homebrew channel that includes a homebrew package containing ScummVM Wii:

can't wait to try this out...

You'll need some kind of chip for this, right?

nope. what you need to do is inject the homebrew channel into your Wii using a method called the Twilight Hack .

This method requires that you have the Wii version of Zelda: The Twilight Princess and an SD card. Once the homebrew channel is injected into your wii you can click on the homebrew channel and launch any wii homebrew that you have saved on your sd card, such as Scummvm Wii.

The other method is of course to use a mod chip, then burn the iso image for the homebrew install and run that.

Just tried out The Dig, and it works very well.

2 things i should mention is 1 you void your wii warranty when you do this and 2 it is beta beta software so it may do some bad things to your wii.

the channel can be removed rather easily apparently so i'm not sure if nintendo would know that you did this if you need to get your wii fixed..
