Default Art Style and Direction

I LOVE the art style of Curse of Monkey Island (clear, vibrant and imaginative) as well as the art style of the later Sierra Quest games (hand-painted look).

My question is what other games (besides Sierra games and Vampyre Story) feature one of these styles. I'm looking for "good graphics" better than say Simon the Sorcerer (not that its bad, but I need this for a reason) but not 3d like Grim.

Also, not looking for a "Myst style" puzzle game, but inventory based.

My reason for this is that my girlfriend liked KQ7 for its graphics first and then got into the story and puzzles. Graphics are important to her, but noting like Longest Journey style will do.

Pretty strict, but ...well... yeah.

THanks!

By the way, she didn't like KQ6 graphics, but she does like the fairy tale aspect of KQ series.

Runaway has a pretty cartoonish graphic style, and also Hollywood Monsters.

Broken Sword 1 and 2. Maybe 3 and 4 as well, but those are 3D... and the 3rd game is even played with a keyboard, so I have a feeling that's out of the question.

Toonstruck
Stupid Invaders

Other than Runaway, which has already been mentioned, those are all that come to mind.

Yeah, Runaway does look nice, but ...it...SUCKED! In my opinion at least.

Can not wait for Whispered World !! Looks GORGEOUS!

As for Kryandia, still think it looks too dated for her picky tastes.

Also, I've never heard of Hollywood Monsters. Is it any good in your opinion?

As already mentioned Runaway 1 & 2 are the obvious choices.

Broken Sword 1 & 2 (then it moved into 3D)

Discworld 1 & 2

Hmm, Discworld 2 is a good idea actually. I've only played through the first half of it anyway. Thanks.

Any other ideas? The wait on Whispered World, Grey Matter and AVS is KILLING ME!!

Don't forget Jack Keane. It's cartoonish too, right?

Was supposed to be out now... grrr...

Full Throttle might just cut the mustard. Bit dated looking but trust us the story and dialog is 1st class.
