Default Show off your loot!

Hi, I'm new.

I'm more of a casual-adventure gamer, bit I love the classics. I favourite adventure game of all time is probably The Dig, and I also love the soundtrack. Recently I became a proud owner of the original box of The Dig!

She's a beauty.

I also have Dreamfall Collector's Edition shrinkwrapped, I think I'll keep it like that for a few more years

Let's see what you guys have?

Welcome to the forums lobski.

That is nice. I did get a copy of Starship Titanic (courtesy of Sage on these very forums) not that long back. Properly boxed. Don't have a picture though.

I have (or had, since I can't it) the box for LOOM. I also had the Secret of Monkey Island Box, but I gave it to a friend when I got the CD version. I also have the boxed version of Obsidian, the original release of Riven (unfortunately, we lost the cool cd-jackets the game came in) and the original release of Exile, though we don't have the boxes any more. I also have a package which I got the Journeyman Project Trilogy in (I don't know what else to call it).

No pictures right now, but if you want, I can go take pictures of my Adventure Game collection. (I don't call myself a Treasure Hunter for no reason.)

I love show off threads. I've been meaning to take pics of my collection for ages, but I never get around to it. I don't have any extremely rare games or anything, but I'm satisfied with the games I've amassed so far. There's a list of most of my collection at MobyGames (view have/want lists).

I'd have to get out my pith helmet and torch, but I've got some of the original Infocom text adventure game boxes stored away. Man, those guys knew how to package! All kinds of goodies packed in with the 5 1/4" floppies.
More recent are Gabriel Knight: Mysteries, Phantasmagoria: Stagefright, Roberta Williams Anthology.
A few years ago I got this great package from LucasArts, with Monkey Island 1 & 2, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Day of the Tentacle, and Sam n Max Hit the Road, all in this neat aluminum zip case. No pics yet, but maybe I'll get that together.
I'm jealous of the original boxed LucasArts collection as well.

I forgot how the Fallout 1 box was more like a rectangle than other boxes of the era. Erwin, what is the box underneath the Discworld game?

The recent Games For Windows magazine has a nice article devoted to the history of game boxes. They show off some of the boxes that were posted in this thread. I recommend you all check it out.

I belive it to be Discworld Noir.
I have that one myself - sadly I couldn't get it to run on my Vista machine.

As for the Sierra and LucasArts games.. I used to have the boxed versions too, but years of moving around made the boxes disappear - the games I do have still though.

Noir, indeed.

The "LSL Ultimate Pleasure Pack" I stumbled upon at a small dusty PC store near Columbia Uni in Manhattan for only $39.99! A few months later I saw it go for $80 on Ebay.

Boy, i want your LucasArts collection. Judging by those screenies, you've looked after them all very well. I never even realized Grim Fandango and Escape from Monkey Island were released in big boxes. I just thought they came out in a dvd case (esp. the latter). I'd love to have all the LucasArts adventures in big boxes, but because i have the best ones already in dvd/jewel cases there's very little point. That, and i just can't find some of 'em because they're so rare to get.

I only have three of those from your collection: Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (won that on ebay in my very first auction; doubt i'll ever win anything again ), Discworld and Discworld 2 (which is the Argentum Collection version). My copies are a bit scuffed and creased though. Would've got The Neverhood in the big box but i think it was pretty damn pricey. Bad enough paying 40 quid for the game just in a jewel case.
