The problems are now solved, and I can access the survey.
Thanks to everybody who participated by taking the survey and/or making comments. It's much appreciated. The results are based on the 66 responses. I'm not sure if I should post the "Other" comments, so I'll leave them out for now. And the "winners" are... 1) What kind of verb system do you prefere? Verb coin - 5 Context sensitive cursor only (one mouse button system) - 8 Context sensitive cursor + 'look/investigate' (two mouse buttons system) - 40 SCUMM style - 5 Left-click or right-click opens up a menu - 3 Don't know - 4 Other - 4 2) Few or many verbs? One is fine (a context sensitive one) - 4 Two is the deal ('look/investigate' and a context sensitive one) - 37 Three to five should do it - 16 More than five would be nice - 2 Don't know - 3 Other - 4 3) How should hotspots behave when touched by the cursor? The cursor should change shape or colour - 16 A text message should pop up and explain what the cursor is touching (e.g. 'old picture') - 16 The cursor should change shape or colour, futhermore a text message should pop up and explain what the cursor is touching - 29 Nothing should happen - 1 Don't know - 0 Other - 4 4) About feedback - What should happen when you click on an object/a hotspot? A description of the object/hotspot should pop up, as told from a third person narrators point of view - 8 The protagonist should make a comment by speaking out loud - 24 The protagonist should make a comment via his/her thoughts - 26 Don't know - 1 Other - 7 5) Should the protagonist/support cast give out subtle hints about how to solve some of the puzzles? - A simple example: You click on a door, and the protagonist comments that the door is locked, but looks a bit old and fragile. Yes - 53 No - 3 Don't know - 1 Other - 9 |

Thanks, Jannik! You've just reassured me that I'm on the right track with my WiP on all accounts! Good luck!
