The characters have always been 3D. There has been a change in the engine so the way they are rendered is a little different.

Ok, sorry. I could have sworn I'd seen some 2D characters.
Just to let you know I'm getting pretty excited about this game. Justadventure have it down for February 2008. Is that for a specific region? I'm assuming the German version will be the first one out? Is the February release date still going ahead or is this outdated information? |

I'm afraid the english version won't be out any time soon, unless of course they already have a publisher ready.
I too am really looking forward to this game

There were some 2D character sketches released some time ago.

Ok, so presumably the German version won't have subtitles. I can wait a while (as usually is the case with the majority of games I get excited about).
Keep up the good work! |

Hmm... the screenies look good.
How will the game be like, though? Will it be really stereotypical or actually attempt to deliver something new? Don't get me wrong, now, I know many couldn't care less if the plot is stereotypical so long as the game is fun... but I always like to see something interesting and rehashing old stereotypes just takes all the fun and magic out of the game. Oh and I wonder how the game will deal with sensitivity(cultural , etc.) and culture shock. I've always gone more for a mixture of sublimal and a bit of "in your face" thingy since real life is rarely just that extreme.

Lucifiel, if you ask questions like that, and he answers them, there will be no reason to play the game
Perhaps a demo is being released? Also, I miss worded my question. I wanted to know if the german version would have English subtitles, but I imagine the chances are relatively slim. |

There have been a few, very few, adventures with English voices and German subtitles. For instance, Touche: the adventures of the fifth musketeer, localized for Germany. (Unimmersive as hell, because you collect all these German objects that the characters discuss in English, and you use German verbs to look, use, walk, talk etcetera.) But I cannot remember a single adventure game with German voices and English subtitles. What would be the point anyway? It would just be make the game more expensive. |

Not really. The game's original language is english, then it gets localized into german.
They just would have to build in an option to switch to another language, just like in some versions of Dreamfall. Or the ugly method: You can choose the language at the start of the installation. Personally, I like to have the option to choose the original language. This is rare, though. |

Right. But then the ENTIRE game would be available in English (like the old Cryo multilingual DVDs), not just the subtitles.

Sometimes I'd prefer English subtitles to English language.
I prefer to watch my world cinema in their original language. Further more, there are some games I just cannot stand with their English voice acting i.e. Tunguska -that girl's voice is just irratating! Ankh's german demo also had a choice of English subtitles, strangely enough. I played the Heart of Osiris demo in German (without English subtitles) to find Thara's voice strangely more fitting to her character than the UK edition. |

Okay, sorry my sense of humour fell flat.
I'm afraid I don't know if there will be a demo (I'm only the writer). That will be down to DTP and Wizarbox. As far as I'm aware there are no plans to offer alternate subtitles to the specific spoken language. As for stereotypes - it depends on what you mean by that. I've done my best to make the story as interesting and enjoyable as possible and woven the gameplay into that so it all becomes a highly fused experience. Only time will tell if you enjoy it as much as I hope you will.

wow, screenies look better and better and the site for the game is great. The imagery looks luscious and I bet the story is likewise
Cheering this game on!
