Adventure (Cut) Scene of the Day - Thursday 14th June 2007
BEFORE
http://img128.imageshack.us/img128/9358/whark2nt5.jpg AFTER http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/4...enwharkec4.jpg This was the moment it all came together for me... the strange learning device in the school, the mysterious round thingy in the lake you could open and close from high up in the chair, the clanking sound when you stood on it, the red light to call the big fish... A true AHA experience ;) http://youtube.com/watch?v=gc9h2-0ZKi0 |
I don't think I had a single "AHA"-experience whilst playing Riven.
lol, great moment. I remember my friend playing this part and he kept taunting the fish to hit him.
I loved the Whark. :)
Spoiler: |
Definitely a fav part of Riven.
One of gaming's most miraculous moments for me.
I still can't believe anyone actually managed to work out anything about Riven.
I like this new take on the Scene of the Day. :) Cool idea, Fienepien.
I didnt go 'aha' even when using a guide, i went 'what' then stopped playing the game half way through
I can't remember that part. Is it possible to finish the game without annoying the Whark? Maybe I just forgot it. It's been so many years since I played Riven. I keep meaning to replay, but there are so many old games I haven't played at all...
Yes it possible to skip it. It happens after you call the Whark over and over.
Oh, yeah - I remember this fish (whark)...it kept swimming by in the distance and when you call it again, it does something different each time (it's been a while since I played Riven)....scared the beejesus out of me when it came up to the window....
Actually it keeps swimming up to the window and the last time you do it actually slams into it. That must have been what scared you.
