Most Confusing Adventure Game!
I'm putting my vote on City of Lost Children as the undisputed winner as it didnt seem to have a begining or an end, only possibly rivaled by Neverhood, Nippon Safes Inc and Orion Burger but as I haven't finished either of those games I cant really say for sure and Discworld 1 was a bit strange in the end but not nearly as confusing.
Has anyone played a more confusing game? |

Confusion is acceptable in adventure games. In fact, it's a necessary ingredient. What fun would it be to have nothing to wonder about, nothing to figure out? Some of the best games could be described as incredibly confusing. Confusion is all right so long as the mystery can be unraveled logically in the end.
That said, I'm voting for Asylum, which was complete "what the f---?" from start to finish. |
You are talking about a mystery which is not what I mean, there you know what's happening all the time but you dont know how it's going to end, that's something completely different, I'm talking about games that makes no sense, where you have no idea what the hell the plot is and what you are supposed to do and where the ending gives you no clue of what the game was all about either!

The game was the biggest trash I have ever played. VERY low graphics, very annoying/pathetic music, shitty charaters, ..although, storyline wasn't really really bad..but still... |
I quit Post Mortem somewhere half-way. I had no idea what was going on, and I didn't care to find out. That game got wierder and weirder the longer I played it.
Other candidates are: - All Myst games, especially the first one. Boy didn't I know what to do on that island when I got there! I absolutely loved that though, and I am an all-time fan of all Myst (except Myst 5). - Future Boy. I only played the demo, but that was a lot of fun. You might like it if you haven't played it already Crapstorm. Edit: But on top of my list must be the first Discworld game. Absolutely totally illogical. Nothing made sense and I quit after having read a walkthrough and thinking: WT...??? How can people come up with this?? |
Well the most confusing thing about Discworld is that there are things you are supposed to do in the end that I simply skipped and I could still finish the game and I had so many things that I had never used and never did use!
But Discworld 2 is a lot better, funnier, shorter dialogues, logical puzzles and best of all great graphic. |

It's not strictly an adventure game, but I've never felt as lost as when I played Arcatera. I have a very large threshold for awfulness, but that game surpassed them beyond tolerable limits...
Jazz & Faust gets worthy mention. |

The first Tony Tough game. Hated Tony's voice, bad music, and terrible puzzles. I don't know how I finished that game ...

Don't confuse confusing with bad! There are some bad games out there that our perfectly logical!

diskworld is confusing but it helps to have read the night watch trilogy then it will make sense like the butterfly puzzle which i did not get at frist |
