Default Gamespot reviews Jack the Ripper, "anti-adventure bias" flames probably commence...

I'm disappointed, but not surprised at all. Their criticisms of the game sound like how I've felt with about 90% of the adventure games that have been released in the last few years. Oh well. Unless I hear some REALLY glowing praise from some people whose opinions I respect, I won't be spending money on this title...

Default Jack The Ripper Reviews.

So far, the impressions I'm getting on this game is that this game is pretty mediocre, which is evidenced by Gamespot's disappointing review. It mentions, that this game has some bugs in it, which makes me believe that the developers of the game just wanted to get this game to stores, and did not bother to play-test it at all.

However on a bright side, Gamer's Hells' review is a bit more positive, seeing how it get a 8 on it's review score. I was acutally pleased to see that the critic actually liked the game.

Sadly, though, I'm a bit depressed to see that this game has not gotten an excellent review yet . I do want to play it, but maybe I should play a demo before I buy it.

Anyone know where I can download a demo for the game?.

There's no demo available. If there's a demo available for a game, it's 99.9% of the time always available at GameSpot.

They gave Gabriel Knight III: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned 6.7.

While it's technically a point-and-click adventure, it offers little in the way of substantial gameplay, with just a few very simple puzzles and no real action. Jack the Ripper is really more of an interactive story, where you move the linear plot along by repeatedly visiting a handful of small locations and talking to the same few people over and over.
Wahey! Another one of those.
