Great to hear that.

I hope that in a way this will help get Mr.Ince's own game Juniper Crescent done too.

"gameplay surprises"? Sounds like a sneaky way of saying action/arcade sequences...

Too bad he couldn't focus on another Broken Sword game :/ I would rather see that.

So yeah... instead of enjoying new twists and turns, everything that makes me hard are twenty years old ideas getting milked over and over again. And of course a press release like that means: Action™ and arcade™ sequences©. Which I sooo don't want in my adventure games®. I mean, what else could it mean? I can't think of anything, so why should the game designers be able to? But instead of shutting the hell up and (eventually) not buying the game I power up my dial-up modem and start whining on the internet. All the bloody time.

Who knows what 'gameplay surprises' means? All you can do is wait and find out.

YES! Great great news! Steve is one of the best. And the game looks like it has "Runaway" quality graphics. A very good thing. Can't wait!

Indeed. Though, the game will probably be delayed for a long time, as usually happens...

Hmmn... not sure the premise works for me, and while I certainly don't mind eye candy, I'm wondering if the deliberate attempt at cheesecake offered in the single image I've seen here at AG means we're getting something closer to LLL than Broken Sword.

Still, it looks like they're using some gorgeous graphics, so it might be worth having a look.

Most definitely not!

While I can't comment on the "gameplay surprises", it's not even close to LLL.

Is "gameplay surprises" really being used as a selling point? Usually, before I buy a game, I want to have an idea of what sorts of actions it will have me performing. Will I be hammering button combos? Answering multiple choice trivia questions? Solving riddles, or piloting a little yellow circle through a maze of dots? Why would a developer be coy about this? Is Steve's new game going to start out like a classical comedy-inventory adventure and then suddenly turn into Burger Time?

I can't wait, he is one of the very best writers, anywhere, and i think the game idea sounds fun and great. And i liked both the graphics of the screenie and the subject, nice mix of old and new. I will have to brush up on my german as I don't want to wait for the english release. Way to go, Steve! Congrats and I am rooting for you and the game 100%.
