I'm hoping my GOG download finishes while I'm at work today. Despite owning an old copy I picked it up in a previous sale, as one of the CDs seemed to be borked. At least I don't have to worry about getting it working.

Bump. The Overseer playthrough is nearly over, so I figured it's never too soon to talk about the next anticipated playthrough.

I'd selfishly nominate Discworld Noir since I plan to play it anyways, although I've found it to be quite buggy on XP with random crashes. What's everybody in the mood for?

Just checking - anyone interested in A Vampyre Story playthrough? No?

Oh, come on people - it matches the winter time nicely.

I'd actually be interested in this.
I started playing it last year, but gave up somewhere during the second chapter (mainly because of the main character's voice *shudder*).
Now it sits at roughly #60 of my list of games to play because I do intend to finish it someday...

Here's another vote for Discworld Noir! I also wouldn't mind a playthrough of Dreamfall...

Do we have a gamemaster for Discworld Noir?

Let's vote for one of these? Or suggest a new game.

Discworld Noir - 3 (inm8#2, calmoctopus, DustyShinigami)

A Vampyre Story - 3 (TimovieMan, calmoctopus, diego)

Dreamfall - 1 (DustyShinigami)

I'm down for A Vampyre Story. Been meaning to play it for a while now.

I'd love to play through Discworld Noir since I've never played it.

Does Discworld 1 need to be fresh in the memory and/or do you need to have played Discworld 2 to fully enjoy Discworld Noir?

'Cause I'd be interested in Discworld Noir too, if it's standalone...

Discworld Noir has nothing in common (thank God!) with Discworld 1 & 2, except for taking place in the same (Terry Pratchet's) Universe.
DN is by far (IMHO, of course) the best part of the series, and one of the best AGs ever.

Yup I think Discworld Noir is better than two other games from the series, too

My vote goes for Discworld Noir too (I've been wanting to play it for a long time now), but I'd have nothing against A Vampire Story playthrough either

Discworld Noir

I tried it a few months ago on XP and had some problems with freezing/crashing whenever I tried to use the menu or something.

If my memory serves me well, Discworld Noir can be played on XP, but you should install the patch and give the notebook/notes a wide berth.

Looks like the votes are leaning in one direction.

Does anyone know how the game runs on Windows 7?

Or Windows Vista? I have my original copy that I haven't played since soon after it was released, but I have no idea if I could get it to run. Especially after the box spent a decade or so sitting in my parents' shed.

I am, however, willing to try!

I'm a bit late, but I'd like to play A Vampyre Story (played it once and loved it!) and also Discworld Noir. I'm not sure about running on Xp... I played it a few years ago, and I can't remember if it was on XP or ME. I do remember having to get some instructions online on how to fiddle with it. Would've have a clue how I did it though. Also, if Dreamfall is up for a later playthrough I'd join... never played it because I'm a bit nervous of the gameplay, but I'd like it. I enjoyed the Longest Journey playthrough.

Nice, a new playthrough

I only have a Vampyre's Story, so my vote goes to that game. This game can be played on Windows 7 (64-bit): http://www.adventuregamers.com/forum...00&postcount=4
