whats the suprise?
Spoiler:
It's some toy or other - I can't remember exactly what it is - from Mila's childhood stay at the Hotel. If you manage to get her to come with you at the end, there's a brief exchange, but nothing major.

I don't know - I've never seen it, but it might be simply a matter of time, or repeatedly tapping the screen.

Good tip, but then I have to have a rather recent savegame though.

Personally, I thought that Hotel Dusk was masterfully translated. I'd put it up there with the Phoenix Wright games in terms of localisation. Compared to some PC adventure games I've played recently, the difference is night and day. I'm playing Secret Files: Tunguska at the moment and it's a prime example of a good adventure being dragged through the dirt by terrible dialog (the lifeless voice acting doesn't help, either).

It's something that really frustrates me. Adventure games are about the characters and story. If you can't afford to do the game justice in another language then don't release it in that language. If I knew that the characters were going to seem so artificial and uninteresting before I bought Secret Files then I never would've played it, but for some reason reviewers of these games are usually a lot more forgiving than me...and I don't understand why.

Anyway, back to Hotel Dusk The atmosphere and writing just ate me up during that game. Even though the characters were only 2D sketches and I was watching the game unfold through two small screens, I felt like I was actually there, experiencing what Kyle was experiencing. Brilliant game. It felt so fresh compared to the Phoenix Wright games, which are just the same every time.

I really loved this game. I just hope they make a sequel to tie up all the loose ends.
