I'd also like to direct people to this look at the gameplay:

Yeah, I saw that one. Really gets a feel for how the game is going to play, doesn't it? Pity it's been delayed to March.

It's actually only a two-week delay...not a biggie. The game's already gone gold, it's merely a distribution problem at this point.

The International House of Mojo's got their DS review of Insecticide now up at last. While we heartily recommend it, adventure game fans may feel a little short-changed by the shortness of the adventure sections (as good as they are).

We're hopeful the PC version will sort out all the problems of the DS version. It should be finished in the next few weeks, although when it will be released for download is another matter.

I sure hope so.
Apart from your review the game seemed to get slammed pretty much everywhere across the internet.
Okay, not only slammed, there are some other more positive reviews, but it basically boils down to that the action sequences are horrible to control, so you can forget those parts. But this seems to be a DS-specific issue.
I hope the PC version will be good. At first I wanted to wait for a boxed copy, but probably I will buy the downloadable version immediately.

Here's a response of Mike Levine to the rather average ratings. After reading that I'm not sure I want to buy the game at all anymore...

To sum up my review, it IS a good game but horribly hampered by DS limitations. The PC version should remove all complaints, so unless you specifically want it on a handheld console get the PC version instead.

If you're purely getting it for the Adventure sections, be warned that (in the DS version at least) they are very simple two-or-three room affairs. Hopefully that will be expanded in the PC version.

I did genuinely enjoy it and didn't have much of a problem with the controls except for a couple of button allocations. I reviewed it as a gamer who was actually interested in playing it, and in playing both sides of the game - all "official" reviews will compare it to Mario 64 and the like.

How about the PC version, when is that supposed to come out?
