I've counted five reviews so far, and the lowest rating is 84.

I hope this means they're planning to do a quality translation, maybe even adapt some of the jokes for an english audiance, etc...

I checked to see if there was any info regarding this and one of the first links on google (and the first to draw my eye) was this. And then I remembered I'd already read about this so I didn't have to worry about taking too much time to make an english version

Have made a lot of progress in Chapter Two. So far I like the game, but I'm not in love like I was with Edna.

I really like that there are many interactive hotspots, and that many of them elicit even long responses. I like this kind of settings, where many different information can be gathered just by examining thoroughly the environments, much like it happened with St. George's Book Store in Sins of the Fathers.
One thing I'd like to know is about the cursor: do you have to keep the left button pressed in order to open the smart interface, or can you simply click? I really don't like the keep-it-pressed option On another news, I really like - even if I understand just a little of what they say - the German voices. All in all, the game seems really, really promising to me.

I'll reserve judgement till I've finished the game. There's one thing though that really annoys me: the copy protection. The Droggels/Wuerfel are nice, but it's very easy to make a mistake and then you have to do it all over again. It takes me about 45-60 seconds every time I start the game. Sigh... it's already a pain. |

Isn't Spot the cutest thing ever in adventure gaming?
I'm currently in the second chapter. |

The game looks amazing although I'm not a fan of verb coins but I got used to CMI so this should be no problem.
Does anyone know what engine it's made with btw? |

Wow that surprised me very much lol, I knew the very early version of the game was made using visionaire but I thought they would have moved onto something else.

The Whispered World entered the German charts at #5. The Book of Unwritten Tales was not even in the Top 10 but successful enough to back up the upcoming prequel.

I'm at the beginning of chapter 3 and I just came across one of the most blah-yuck-boring puzzles in the Entire History of the Adventure Game. Guess what it is...
Yes, that's right. Spoiler: Thumbing their nose at us adventuregamers? Self-mockery? Or just pure nostalgia? Whatever. Daedalic PS: To soften the blow, let me just add that the very first door puzzle in chapter 3 was very good. |
