DS Adventures

Apologies in advance if this has been asked before, but I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend any good adventure games for the DS? I've played the first Phoenix Wright game, as well as Two Memories: Another Path, and enjoyed them both. Does anyone have any other suggestions, either for games already out or upcoming releases to keep my eye on?

Panthera 12-05-2006 12:28 PM

Already out:
Touch Detective
In Production:
Hotel Dusk: Room 215
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice for all
Undercover: Dual Motives

Have I forgotten anything now?

Spoiler:
the search function on the ag site is really useful! ;)

More 2 in production:

Sinking Island

Professor Layton and the Mysterious Village

Ant that's it... For now :)

Panthera 12-05-2006 02:46 PM

Yeah, I didn't include those because one is an adaption, and the other one isn't announced yet, but the more ags the merrier.. ;)

I'm really looking forward to Hotel Dusk: Room 215. Seems like it can shape up to be a really good game.

Is Touch Detective worth the buy? I heard it was kinda meh.

Don't forget that you can install ScummVM on NintendoDS!

ScummVM will able your console to run games like Simon the Sorcerer, Kyrandia, Monkey Island, Day of Tentacle, etc.

Go here for your text adventure needs (with or without graphics):
http://gugusse.central.free.fr/papafuji/adventures.html

There you will find stand-alone DS ports of old games, as well as a Frotz client.

How good is Two Memories?

BTW, am I the only one who is really excited about Hotel Dusk: Room 215. :9~

equallyAvant 12-25-2006 08:38 AM

Nope youre not the only one.
I am also really excited about hotel dusk. From what i see in the trailer its gonna be a AAA story with excellent gameplay like Another Code. Damn this studio sure knows how to make quality games. Lets hope that Hotel Dusk will last (alot) longer than Another Code. The duration was its only flaw.

It's exactly the same here in Sweden. I just picked up Phoenix Wright for an incredibly low price though. Going to buy DS tomorrow for around 200$.

Undercover looks great compared to the others.

equallyAvant 12-27-2006 02:13 AM

Lucky you!!! DS Lite is so much better than the original DS. Its lighter, brighter and prettier. It looks great next to a Wii....

ScummVM + DS Lite, moving Adventure Gamer's dream.

Still, i didn't get the way it works.

I was speaking strictly on looks. I had not done any research on any of these.

If you have trouble setting up ScummVM DS, you should browse their forum, there is lot of troubleshooting, and agentq is doing a great work supporting the port.
What linker do you have?

MadTricks 12-28-2006 05:26 PM

I visited their forum, but couldn't get simple-straight answer.

Buy any of the supported card readers in the list.

MadTricks 12-29-2006 05:42 PM

But why does it need card?
I though DS had built in Hdd or something like it?
