Solid are you taking over for Wreck?

Solid Snake 11-29-2006 03:42 AM

Nope, there is no take over or anything.I just post a scene once in a while. That's about it.

Who developed this game? I'm guessing it's called Touché!?

Solid Snake 11-29-2006 05:16 AM

Clipper Software made it. Full name of the game is Touché: The Adventures of the Fifth Musketeer.

Cellardoor 11-29-2006 05:49 AM

It looks pretty. Is the game any good?

MadTricks 11-29-2006 06:05 AM

Must accept, graphics and colors are awesome.
What year was it released?

There is no (professional)game site reviews in internet??
Couldn't find anything else but some blogs etc.

Very good game !

I expected a serious adventure but it´s quite humorous and more of a parody just like the Yorke, Chamberlain, Reed musketeer movies.
I played it w/o sound on my old PC but enjoyed it nevertheless.

Walking back and forth between locations was tiresome though and the repeated dialogues (the dialogue tree per se) definately would have been in need of an overhaul.

Accessing inventory is a bit pedestrian.
It´s basically the main character´s sidekick (the corpulent little guy in the screenshot on the far right ) who´s carrying most of the objects. The controllable character is only capable of possesing a limited number of inventory objects.
In consequence you have to swap them in and out ...

Well, I don´t regret having spent hours completing the game.
It´s pretty hard, ya know ...

Here are some reviews for the game:

It was released in 1995 and it's kinda abandonware now.

im a bit confused about the "scene of the day" thing. Is it mainly Wreck that is supposed to post them? cause i did one ages ago and noone said anything to me about it.. i just assumed it was up to whoever did it first....

anyway.. touche looks like a great game graphically.. i'll have to see if i can get a copy and give it a run.. i love the colors and nice artwork :)

Captain Blondebeard 11-29-2006 07:58 PM

Some hate it and some love it. I love it. You can but it for XP now.

Edit: If someone has a xp copy they want to trade or sell I would love to replay.

MdaG 11-29-2006 11:38 PM

I remember getting stuck in this due to some dialog(ue?) bug.

Rapp Scallion 12-01-2006 02:07 PM

I agree, it's damn beautiful. Remind me of classics like LeChuck's Revenge.
