adventuring to look forward to......
Well it's that time of year again, and I've now officially finished uni for the year. In fact I've just completed my degree Now is when I start playing all my adventure games. My list so far (in order of how they will be played) is:
Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Sherlock Holmes: The silver earring Nancy Drew: Last train to blue moon canyon Dreamfall Secret Files: Tunguska Have started Broken Sword. Can't wait to get into them all.

Hey, congrats on the degree! Well done.
That list should keep you going for a while. By the time you finish all those, there will be new games out and you'll be no farther ahead. |

Thanks Jackal Really happy it's over and done with. A little sad too. But got lots of games to keep me busy.

I just finished my Commerce degree too. What did you study?
I too am playing Broken Sword. Broken Sword 3, though. |

I'm also getting my degree in dec 2006. (A M.Sc. in Information Technology). I do however wonder how you get the time to play games when work will be there competing for you waking time?

During my degree I only played games during semester break and the summer. There's no way I could complete a degree whilst playing games - they're too distracting!
I did my degree in Arts majoring in literature. I still have to do a Grad. Dip. in Education, as I want to teach secondary school. That's the plan anyway. Congratulations to everyone else who got their degrees. There's nothing like that feeling.

A note about adventure games and studying: their limited replayability has always been great for me! I remember trying to finish them up before the exams arrived. Once I was done I could forget about the game for a year or so and concentrate on studying. With my current busy life, I still find this feature attractive.

Riddle of Master Lu !
Finally managed to run it properly with DOSBOX w/o sound & performance issues Only drawback is that I can´t play it fullscreen because the screen is too dark, but that´s just a very minor annoyance. So, after more than 10 years I should be able to finish it Murder on the Orient Express But I´ll wait till the prices drop a little. Gray Matter This should become adventure gaming heaven ... Dead Mountaineer´s Hotel Cool and intriguing concept. I dig the setting ! Reprobates I´ve just seen a couple of screenshots. Is this supossed to be a time traveling adv ? Extremely differing looks (sci fi, present, mediaeval) But I expect somethin´ good from the Black Mirror team ! Last edited by Tiocfaidh; 12-07-2006 at 02:45 AM. |
