Default Level 9 and Magnetic Scrolls on Apple II

Hi,

I'm new to this forum but not new to the wonderful world of text adventures.

I run a web site (URL below) which covers (amongst other things) a number of text adventures by UK developers Level 9 Computing and Magnetic Scrolls. I used to work for the publisher (Rainbird) many years ago, and I've been trying to hunt down Apple II disk images of the game we published back then, including:

The Jewels of Darkness
Silicon Dreams
The Pawn
The Guild of Thieves
Jinxter
Corruption
Fish!

Can anyone point me in the right direction or are these versions lost for ever?

Thanks (fingers crossed!)

I think I have a boxed copy of Guild of Thieves for the Apple II I'd be willing to part with. Let me hunt it out and make sure I still have it.

For the rest, your best bet is to keep searching around eBay. There used to be a good number of Apple II games up for auction but the number seems to have dramatically decreased lately.

I own the Magnetic Scrolls collection along with Wonderland. All boxed and original materials included. PM me and I will help get you what you need. I am a BIG fan of all the magnetic scrolls games.

I now have a working disk image of Silicon Dreams for the Apple II (thanks to Insider for pointing me in the right direction!).

I now also have a working image of the Apple II version of The Pawn. Thanks again to the Insider for that one as well!

I had no idea that Apple II ports of those games existed. Are they IIgs specific, or are they written for entire line?

They weren't GS specific. The Magnetic Scrolls games were text only. The Level 9 games were for the Apple II or above AFAIR.

The only thing I really can't remember is whether we did Fish! for the Apple II or not. I'm pretty sure I remember play testing Corruption on the Apple, but not Fish! (which interestingly lost its exclamation mark on the US packaging for some reason).
