Benoit Sokal's White Birds Productions studio is working on Sinking Island, a dark detective adventure story, set on a tropical paradise, at a millionaire's hotel a crime is commited, and while the island seems to be sinking for unknown reasons, you, as detective Jack Norm, have to find out who did it.

Wow, they look a lot like the ones given to AG as exclusives about a week ago.

White Birds Productions? Don't they already have a game in development?

I agree on the "better than Paradise" thing. I feel that this game is either going to break or make White Birds. A lot of their credit/fame (Sokal's fame mainly) was lost with Paradise so it will be interesting to see what they will achieve with this new title.

I do hope the very best from them. But they seriously need to get their act together this time. I hope they hired a couple of good programmers and testers this time.

It's going to be interesting to see if their idea of "time limited" adventure will work and how it will work. And for a february 2007 release, it's been very quite on the screenshot side so far (just like paradise by the way).

Paradise was a very big disappointed… In my humble opinion this game should had never hit the shelfs. Paradise is a half finished product, everything is screwed up and nothing works as it should… It’s like Ed Wood made it. The above on the technical level because the narration and the script were even worse.
Spoiler:
I’ve never seen a scene so intense theoretically (a daughter kills her father) being executed in the most uninteresting way. A daughter kills her father and the cinematic can’t even set the mood right. The game ends after the incident and you are like “that was it?”. No climax, no building, nothing, just obvious turns and Molgrave sssshhtttt…

Lets hope the Sinking Island will not turn into Sinking White Bird…

I still haven't finished Paradise. It doesn't hold my interest enough to finish it. I hope that this game is better.

I really hope that this image doesn't reflect the general way they combine 3D models and prerendered backgrounds. It looks even more awful than Paradise.

I'm not a fan of the art direction on the whole, to be honest. Everything looks the same... Not very original. Very generic stuff, really.

I do hope it proves to be one of WBP's pearls. I need a good Benoit Sokal game to keep my mind busy!

All of you wack down on Paradise - I don't really think that fair. The game is very different from other AG's out there - no horror show with quick turns or amazing new game-features. Yet it's a beautiful game, focused on feeling - and should be thought of as such.
