While we're on a "missing game" subject...whatever happened with Project Joe?

I was going to ask the same question about Project Joe. The demo was ok in comparison to what's out there today, I suppose.

Boyz Don't Cry -- I remember that! I wonder where it ran off to.

Both games smell canned to me...

Was linking to our own preview too much trouble?

What happened to it was simply no English publisher. It was finished and released in its original language, apparently, but just never managed localized releases.

As for Project Joe, it was officially put "on hold" several years ago, though they refused to call it cancelled. Then the developers signed on with bad brain, and it was assumed they would resume work on PJ, but that was never confirmed (or even suggested). And of course, that signing proved as productive as every other bad brain adventure.

No English version? *cry*

I was so looking forward to that. I really loved the watercoloured art, it showed exactly why 2d should never be thought as redundant.

I'd be happy with a subtitled version, just so that I can appreciate the artwork. Hell, I may still get this anyway, and play it with a French dictionary! (It is French isn't it? Those characters look very French =D )

Over at Adventure Developers, Project Joe is classified as canceled. I installed the demo the other day, so I hope it gets completed some days despite this.

Don`t be so dissapointed about the game never translated in English. They was not able find publisher in other countries for good reason - it`s horrible. It came out in Russian so I tried it. It`s the worst adventure I ever palyed. The worst thing dialogues - long, stupid, boring, trying to be funny. They even much worse than in gillbert goodmate. Puzzles stupid, story just dumb, graphics very simple. There is nothing good I can say about this game.

Welcome to the Forum, Gorrister.

Yeah, I agree it's bad. And I repeat it almost every time this topic pops up. Nobody listens, though. That's what a couple of intriguing screenshots can do to people.

Well, I'm kind of relieved that it's that bad... I think...
