Default broken sword 4 - ambx technology

hi,

i heard that broken sword 4 will be using ambx technology (or something like that) - i just wanted to know whether it is necessary to buy this in order to play the game? I'm kinda broke so as long as it is not to expensive and it improves the quality of the game i don't mind.

ambx is a technology that should enhance the gaming experience by changing the color of the lights in your room, or something this (no.. i'm not joking - read more about it here)
It is not necessary to play the game. and IMHO currently it is quite obsolete.

HI

Yes, you can still play the game without ambx technology.

Currently, I'm playing the demo of BS4 - without ambx technology.

And I'm doing just fine -- tecnically - that is. (not so much in the form of gameplay)

You could download the demo and see if it runs. If the demo runs, the full game probably will.
Just Google "broken sword angel demo."

Warning: I had to update to a newer DX9 install, since the older installs didn't include a necessary DLL. Just go to the MS site and force a DX9 install over the existing DX9 install.

Does anyone use AMBX with this game? is it an "ambient" gaming experience ? How does it feel actually?

I just don't understand how a game would change the settings around you. I can kind of imagine maybe some fancy plug strip with labels on where to plug in a fan, a colored light, a different colored light, etc and they the software could control it but it just seems so far fetched and like so much work.
