Not sure the download site could be much slower. Perhaps the server is overloaded due to demand for the demo. Download speed for my cable connection was in excess of 3 1/2 hours. Should have been between five and ten minutes.

I'm only getting 400-500 KB/Sec, but I'll stick with it. Says it should take about 20 minutes.

I wish I would have known this was going to release only days after the German demo.

When it first unpacks the files for installation the text is still in German. Just ignore that. I've tried the game and it is in English.

I'm getting 85 kb/sec. Slowish but OK. I'm at school thankfully. I could never do this at home with my dial up.

Even if it took you 3 1/2 hours, it's better than nothing, no?

It's amazing how much better the game is when you can actually understand what's going on, lol.

At that rate, your dial up isn't that much slower.

Mine is. I only get about 3.5-4 kb/sec on my dial up. I'd lose my connection before it got done probably. I get my dial up free through school so it gets used by lots of people which probably slows the connection down.

I'm playing Barrow Hill right now, so I guess I can wait until demand dies down a bit. It would have been nice to have it as a change of pace, but having it loaded isn't worth 3 1/2 hours.

Hmm, what connection do you have? Seems odd. I'm getting a steady 227kb/sec on a 2Mbit connection. You should definitely be getting faster, unless it's because you're further away in the USA perhaps?

Definitely in the US. And I may have been online when server demand was stressed at their end. Will try again in a day or two and see if things are better.

Have you tried downloading again since you last tried to see if it has changed? Also, there will be mirrors up shortly from the likes of gamershell no doubt. Maybe try closing all your programs down or even rebooting first to see if it clears anything.

Best I'm getting is about 60 - 65 KB/Sec too with cable.

I'll wait until it's on a site with faster downloads.

If you have a slower connection, just leave your computer running with it downloading in the background. Not that big of a deal, I would think.

It's a big deal when you're used to downloading at 500 KB/Sec.

I got around 500 KB/Sec when I download, but that is pretty slow for my normal speed.

Well, don't lose hope. The demo will be on other sites soon enough.

I kept trying and it paid off. Finally got a fast connection. Downloading right now at about 400 KB/Sec. Should be done in about 15 minutes.
