Giveaway - Gabriel Knight : Sins of the Fathers
St George's Books. Home, sweet, home. At the friendly neighbourhood voodoo shop. Chatting with Grace The classic first game in the series A must-have for the serious AGer. Gabriel Knight, womaniser, struggling author and bookshop owner is investigating the local "Voodoo Murders" for his new book. Little does hw know his ancestry is about to catch up with him. Check out the AG review Up for grabs is the Sierra Originals CD edition. Being the CD version you not only have both the DOS and Windows versions of the gaem but, more importantly, the fully voiced soundtrack. For XP users I have successfully run the game using DOSBOX and the Windows XP patch (check out the Technical Requests forum for hints on this) and this CD seems to run OK under both. However, I've only played a couple of opeining scenes so I can't guarantee long-term stability. On the other hand, this is a freebie so what have you got to lose. Barring unforeseen problems I'm aiming to make the draw around noon Monday (UK time) so you've got about 50 hours to put your name up. Some suitably random method will be applied to select the winner. Best of luck everyone.

I just wanted to say that you don't need to use Dosbox with XP. You can use this installer instead:

I tried it on both because there is s slightly different look to the two versions and there are some people who prefer DOS. (I know I always go on about how great it was and kids today not knowing they're born )

Ah. I didn't realize that you were referring to two different ways of running the game.
