Huh. I've played both Torin's Passage and Gemini Rue, and not too long ago either. I still don't think I would have been able to get them, though.
Also, don't just assume you're the only one who has a medley in store... ;-) |

I suck at this game. Just as much as I do with the screenshots...

Sweet, I won! I had lots of free time this week so I went Soundtrack searching. I've listened to ones from DS games mostly, because I rarely play them (and I have a DS! I just don't find the DS adventures as appealing).
This was a lot of fun as usual, Kurufinwe. Thanks for doing it. Can't wait for Harald's medley . Here's a new (easy) tune: http://kiwi6.com/file/03n8sl7fa4 |

Is it a classical piece? I suck at recognizing classical music It reminds me of two things, though - either it's a cartoony game or horror. How about Discworld 1?
p.s. Shany, i see you too haven't been immune to "false file names" syndrome Last edited by diego; 02-16-2012 at 06:24 AM. |

Not Discworld 1, but you're in the right direction, diego.
I don't think this is an actual classical piece, but it does sound Baroque-ish. A small hint - there is a second version to this tune that sounds very different. |

Now that you've mentioned Baroque, it does have that "royal" feel to it. Ceville?

Nope. It's from an older game.
I'll post the other version of the tune tomorrow. |

I'll take it's a cartoony game from 90s where this tune actually plays with a different style.. Larry 7?

Yep! It's Vicky's theme before you give her that book.
Here's the altered version: http://www.allowe.com/download/audio/mp3/LSL7%20433%20Vicki%20After.mp3 |

Woohoo! Ok - it's time for another part of the spin-off "Upcoming games music"!
This time, i'll make things slightly more difficult - i will present you with the list of 11 games with 6 of them acting as red herrings, and only 5 which are the right titles for the tunes you will hear in the medley! You must make the correct 5 matches. RULES: 1. No cheatin'! 2. You must match all 5 titles with correct tunes at once! So, "Is #3 from Bracken Tor?" will not do. (Unless, you want one point... i mean - or even none ) "The Upcoming Games" medley 1. (00:00) 2. (00:30) 3. (1:15) 4. (1:47) 5. (2:30) List of games: 1. Secret Files 3 ( Preview) 2. Botanicula ( Preview) 3. Cognition ( Preview) 4. Bracken Tor ( Preview) 5. The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav ( Preview) 6. The Last Crown ( Preview) 7. The Journey Down ( Preview) 8. Yesterday ( Preview) 9. The Lost Chronicles of Zerzura ( Preview) 10. Harvey's New Eyes ( Preview) 11. The Critter Chronicles ( Preview) |

For some reason, that reminds me of the Agatha Christie games. Maybe And then there were none?

Either the title is a dead giveaway or you're doing a red herring a la Zobraks.
