Well... okay. 1st person game from the first half of the 90s.

It's not an obscure game, but you probably need to have played it to know it.

Mobygames thinks it might be Return to Zork. Or maybe Dr. Brain. But I'm going to say RtZ.

Not RtZ or Brain. The game isn't on that list. Though it is on Mobygames.

Is it on THIS list? Don't know why, but it struck me like it could be Legend title. I'm gonna go with Death Gate?

It's at the realm of Arianus at the Kicksey-Winsey machine.

Your turn now. Actually no, scratch that - you should be catching up on your homework and playing one of the best games ever made. That goes for all of you!

It sounds very similar to Lost Horizon but I don't think that's the one.

Not LH. Here's another one close to the start of the game, just as the previous tune.

It's a fairly popular game. It's also included in the Top 100 article. Here's the third tune after which i'll go with heavier hints.

Amazing game btw,. No matter what anyone else says

Also I knew it by the first tune. The other ones are cool too though

Edit: Sorry, hearing that beautiful music got me a bit too worked up. Off course other people's opinions matter too. Don't want to start THAT argument again.

Yeap - The Book of Unwritten Tales. It was probably a little unfair since many haven't played it yet and i was being all "sneaky" hiding the fact that it's a pretty recent-ish game, but oh well...

The first tune is from the intro credits, the second plays at McGuffin's house and the third in the town.

Er...this is kinda stupid but I actually don't have time to post a new tune. I just posted the answer in my five minute break and got so carried away by my enthusiasm I forgot it means I should post a new one.

Long story short: anyone who'd like to have a go. Be my guest.

All right then. I have this medley I've been sitting on for a month, so I'm taking over the thread!

It's the 10th medley I've made for this thread (and the best if I may say so myself). It has 30 extracts from 30 different games, all of them adventures, all of them reviewed on this site (apart from a couple of old ones that they haven't gotten around to doing yet). I've tried to balance newer games and older games, first and third person, traditional and hybrid-y. It has many easily-recognizable tracks (so anyone can play!), and a few hard ones for those who like a challenge.

There's not really a theme this time, apart from "music I like". And it's called Waiting for Godot because, while it has a lot of piano and a lot of sax, it manages never to use Godot's theme.

Important rule: please limit yourself to two guesses at a time (i.e. until I confirm your guesses). And as usual, you get bonus points if you can say where/when the track plays in the game.

(01:38) 04 -
Spoiler:
GK 1 - Gabriel walks into caged animal room in the underground voodoo hounfour in Day 10.

(6:20) 14 -
Spoiler:
Gray Matter - The Game of Life test for Sam in the Daedalus Club.

Big similarities in the tunes I immediately recognized.

# 06
