I see no mention of Grim Fandango... Manny frowns on you all.
How about Jack Orlando? I should sit down and finish that game some day... Tony Tough and the Night of Roasted Moths also comes to mind, and Discworld Noir might be worth a look, too.

i agree, dump her. she doesn't know what art is. either that, or tie her to something and force her to play the old classics.

My wife absolutely loved Day of the Tentacle. It has graphics simlar to KQ7 and a happy tone that everyone seems to love. They have also created tools to make it easily playable on today's PCs (SCUMM VM). You must play the full-talkie (CD) version though.
I have always loved DOTT since it came out, but when my wife played it and loved it, I knew it was one of those rare games (back when it was new) that girls and guys love. We all seem to have a built in love for the Warner Brother's cartoons tone and style. |

Then again, just because one girl likes something doesn't mean all girls will. Unless, of course, all girls are clones of the same person...

We are not clones, thanks for clearing that up. I'll have to remember a more clear disclaimer next time. |

I have the opposite problem: I'm female and I'm very fond of adventure games (CMI is my all time favorite). I asked my partner to try some of the adventures I like best, but he's into action and strategy games...
And he wants stunning, state-of-the-art graphics... |
