The game has been receiving impressive reviews and early feedback from fans, previewers, and beta testers. It's really an exciting time.
There is nothing more satisfying than working with a team of people who allow you total creative freedom. I really feel proud to have played a part. |

Not sure if anyone caught this.. but I always loved how some of Sierra's artists hid their names in the box art. Can you find mine? notice in some earlier mockups that it hadn't been treated yet. In the final game box, it's there. (see below)

Great art! I'm a total sucker for those old school illustrations. Hope the game matches its quality.

Everything looks awesome. Really does evoke a feeling of classic adventure gaming, but with still feels fresh and new. I love it.
I mentioned this to Eriq already, but others may get a kick out of the fact that when I opened the site (a few days ago, while it was still in progress), a bunch of Telltale / former LucasArts employees flocked around my desk to ooh and ahh over it. |

Well I loved all of the little fun "secrets" Sierra and LucasArts always put into their games and promotions so here's another fun easter egg.
Official Al Emmo website Easter Egg I: During the production of the site my friend Craig and I were obsessed with listening to Anita Baker. Don't ask why. LOL. So if you click into the site and go to the ABOUT THE GAME section and then into the COMPLETE STORY, you'll see a sheriff's badge pop up on the left hand side. Click on the LEFT TOP BALL on the badge edge and you'll experience being "Caught Up in the Rapture". LOLOLOL. |

Fantastic box art yes. The style reminds me of Sierra and Lucasarts combined... which is definately a good thing.
And, btw, you weren't coincidently inspired by Larry Laffer when you designed Al Emmo, were you? |

Really, all of my artwork has been inspired by LucasArts and Sierra so I'm sure there are a ton of little inspirational touches in everything. Even the box and packaging designs themselves which have a more "chunky" old school feel were inspired by the classic boxes. You know what I mean? I was on Cloud 9 when Karmillo compared the art to Monkey Island 2 -one of the boxes I used as inspiration for this cover - maybe a little bit of Indiana Jones thrown in for good measure. The featurette on the site will have a narrated movie clip showing the making of the box art. Stay tuned! Quote:

After visiting your site, I get that same giddy feeling as when I play Curse of Monkey Island.
This is looking mighty good. |
