Going to have to finish this game sometime. Love the series.

I actually stole* a candle from the "Sainte Marie-Madeleine" when I visited Rennes-le-Château. :)

* I did pay for it, but I didn't know I wasn't supposed to take it with me.

Based on your sig, I'll say it's GK3 (but I haven't played it so I wouldn't have guessed that from the screenie).

Cellardoor, how is Rennes-le-Château in the game in comparison to real life? Exact copy? Similar? Different?

And yes, Melanie, it`s Gabriel Knight 3.

Well, for starters, the real RLC isn't as quiet as in GK since it's filled with tourists. The church interior is an almost perfect match. The roof of the Magdalen Tower is also as it appears in the game - though it is connected with the musuem at ground level.

The bookstore wasn't closed when I visited and I even bought a book (Holy Blood and the Holy Grail) there. Also, I bought a bottle of "Berenger Saunière Wine" at a local café, which I'm saving for a special occasion. :)

Basically, the RLC in GK3 isn't a perfect copy for the most part, but the artists really managed to capture the character and atmosphere of the small French village. I can recommend a visit to all of you who enjoyed GK3.

I don't have any digital pictures of my own, but there are plenty at this site.

I`ve always wanted to go to RLC ever since I first played GK3.

Maybe I will some day. And then I can play the game, as Gabriel.

Now, that`s 3D :P

Still the best adventure game I ever played. Just reading and writing about it makes me want to replay it too :)
