Default Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Tue 27 June 2006

Honouring the release of the sequel, AGSotD hosts, for the very first time (I think), a freeware game. And one of the best out there at that.

...and so it began.

Seven Days a Stranger? That looks like Trilby...

That would be Five Days a Stranger (not to be confused with its sequel Seven Days a Skeptic). I first played this one during the AG playthrough a few months ago and, even though I wasn't really enthusiastic at first, I ended up quite liking it.

I miss the playthroughs, by the way.

Even though this is an amateur game, and made by one person alone (!), I think it surpasses many of the commercial games.

The sequel is also good, but this is the best one, IMO.

One of the best Adventure Games I've ever played, both professional and fan-made. Great atmosphere, story and characters. The art is simple, but has it's own charme.

The controls were a bit confusing in the beginning, but I quickly got used to them.

This game was a good'un. If there's anyone left who hasn't tried it they really should.

I haven't tried it.
Freeware, does that mean I can download it?

I didn't like the sequel as much as this one. But then, you guys already know that, because you read my review of 7 Days... right?

Uh, sure, that one. I... I've read it.

I especially liked that part about the, character, and that beginning there, with all that starting the article well...

In fact, that's rather the reason for this thread.

Well, the GK1 one was quite unfinished, but I guess it's already used...

Someone should start them again though! And maybe some day we might get a game I actually have...

One of the problems with GK was that it was just so huge, and I think it didn't encourage people to (re)play it. I mean, it takes at least 30 minutes before you get out of the bookshop. So we probably need a game that's shorter, or at least that can be divided into smaller parts. And a game that quite a few people have, or can gain access to easily. Maybe we should start a suggestion thread, see if someone's interested in something.

Spoiler:
Longbow, Longbow, Longbow!!!!

I spent two hours+ before I got out of the bookshop. There just so much to examine there.
