Paradise: Night of the Leopard Sequences
 

I have just finished Paradise and my reaction is similar to others I have read, but I am very puzzled by the "Night of the Leopard" sequences. Is there any point to them at all? At one point I noticed that I seemed to be getting the leopard killed or captured (being returned by the game to an earlier point in my wanderings) so I thought that if one can "lose" the sequence, there might be a way to "win" it. But I could not find one. And if there is none, why on earth would the developers waste time on those sequences when there are so many other ways they could have profitably spent their time?
