I'm sure I can moisten a couple of noodles, as per request.

My picks:

Loom CD version. The dialogue is a bit over the top in the intro, but the orchestral soundtrack is stunning, and the scenery is lovely. OK, a lot over the top. I still liked it.

Under a Killing Moon. Funny, noir-ish, and sets up the game perfectly. It was also like nothing ever seen on a computer screen in 1994. Amazing.

Monkey Island 3. Lovely animation, and also very funny.

Full Throttle - That pan round Ben's bike is awesome.

Sam n Max - For that picture of Max with the Mad scientist's head and a big grin.

The Dig - That music is beautiful, not to mention the shots of the shuttle on its way to Atila.

Monkey Island 3 - the music is really sets the mood and that chicken floating past always cracks me up.
There's an advert on UK TV at the moment for holidays in Ireland. That starts with a low angle camera shot rushing towards an almost triangular island, sticking out of the sea. Every time i see it, my mind always adds the words "Somewhere in Carribean" to the bottom of the picture.

The wrath of any god that might be reading this should have hit me by now, how could I forget LOOM! (So I assume that I was lucky and no gods were reading this thread at the time) Me, possibly the greatest fan of LOOM?!

Of course the musical score of LOOM in any form makes me dream every time I hear it.

The second one is particularly brilliant after just finishing the first, as the music is very much the same, yet with an Arabian feel to it.
Not to mention the part where the not-quite-USS-Enterprise buzzes the flying carpet .

Curse of Monkey Island is a definite for me; just can't beat the quiet opening followed by the swell to that awesome remix of the MI theme.

Yeah, actually I was talking about the opening menu, for some reason... I don't (which is hard to believe as I've played the game quite a few times) remember much of the opening scene (unless it was really short )

Some of my favorites have already been mentioned, regularly even. I especially enjoy GK3's main menu theme for its grandeur. From the Indy FOA overture I particularly enjoyed the "The Transit" theme.

But as for my favorite music opening scene, that would be KQ7's marvellous A land beyond dreams...

It probably is, but still I can't help but love the song...

Dott. I still have dreams of the music and the bird falling to it's death. The bright cartoony intro just did it for me.

Monkey Island
Zak McKracken
Phantasmagoria... gotta love that Carmina Burana-style choir intro music.

... and many many more.

Just stumbled across this board..

One intro which i kept looking over and over again - even though quiet non spectacular - was the one from Future Wars (Delphin Software). Back then it was a very unique opening. Talking about Delphin Software i also liked the theme and intro of Operation Stealth.

Another one which i kept watching over and over again was Rise of the Dragon (Sierra i think). The atmosphere was impressive. Love that Blade Runner setting. Sometimes i just left the first scene in the apartment running for an hour because of the sound and music. Strange i know

And of course Monkey Island I. That caribbean score just rocks.

Im sure there is more somewhere hidden in my brain but thats is for the moment..
