This has already been posted on the Still Life Ending thread ( here), and there is nothing at all in there that confirms a sequel is in development.

Let's be even more clear: there is absolutely no validity to that mail, period.
If there were a Still Life sequel in development, a TAC customer service rep would know no more about it than anyone else. Maybe less. As stated, TAC has nothing whatsoever to do with it. The rights are owned by the parent French company of MicroĂŻds Canada, which itself no longer exists. |

The Canadian one, which is the actual development studio. (Or was.)

Nonetheless, the original's "ending" cries out for some sort of follow-up.

There may very well be a sequel one day, though I've heard not a whisper that MC2 has any intention of funding one. (And if they did, it would obviously be by a totally different studio.) But the fact that a CS rep from TAC claims to have heard a rumour about it is no more valid than reading it in a fortune cookie. And you can't even eat the rumour.

If you read through the posts by Se7en in this thread, there's some insight directly from the developer on how Still Life's ending came about.
Note that there are giant, colossal spoilers in that thread for those who haven't played it. |

well... thanks for getting my hopes up
I think the ending was quite fitting if there was a sequal made. Since there is not, it feels *unsolved* |
