Default Journey to the Centre of the Earth

It's a game that's a couple of years old, but I was thinking about purchasing it. Has anyone played it? What did you think about it? I could only find a couple of reviews and they varied wildly from one person loving it to the other person hating it.

thanks for reading.

I'm glad I played the game because it had a nice story, but I'm also glad I frequently consulted a walkthrough because some of the puzzles were nigh-impossible. I'm also very glad I only payed $10 for it at Target.

Thanks. This is exactly what I wanted to know. I can get it cheap off of ebay, but there's no point if the game is horrible.

Does anyone know if there is a patch to fix the bugs?

It has some gorgeous graphics and excellent cutscenes (I've kept the bik video of the valley with the giant mushrooms, for instance), but the gameplay is at least lame.

I gave up about halfway, when I realised that the game was asking me to walk back 5-6 areas, to get an egg that I needed for a puzzle. I had noticed that item inside a tent from the very beginning, but strangely the game was not allowing me to grab it. They wanted me first to realise that I needed it and then go back and get it, after it had meanwhile mysteriously unlocked by itself... Don't spend money and time on it.

Thanks. I was actually going to purchase it, but when I went back it was no longer there. Sounds like no big loss, but I'm dying for a new game!

I think this game is fairly good. Nice storyline, and good graphics.

I havent yet completed it as i'm completely stuck - the puzzles are absolutely ridiculous - extremely difficult.

Worth it for the ÂŁ5 I payed for it anyway.

Its a 'continuation' of the books story.

As for the puzzles, it has some normal point and click style puzzles (use object with object) but also some proper mind bending puzzles, working out codes and stuff.

I got it for $10, but I've yet to try it out. Maybe there'll be a patch waiting for me when I do take the time to play it.

I played it and absolutely loved it. Didn't need a patch. Some of the puzzles were a little out of whack, but I just got a walkthrough for those. I think you need at least a 64mb video card. Try it if you can get it.

Some parts weren't that bad, but overall i disliked it. Mainly because of the extremely bad gameplay design (some of the puzzles were totally illogic). The graphics are preety good, the story.. uh, well, it's there not to bore you.

So my advice to you, try something else. I bet there are others adv games that you haven't played and can get for the same price that are way better than this one.
