Default Adventure Game Scene - Tues May 2, 2006

I'll post early for my time zone but just so this thread doesn't get neglected.

An ode to Ragnar:

The Longest Journey
I liked this part of her journey. The development of her character and her self reflection along with the journey she was on really made this game for me.

Enjoy, enjoy!!

the ending was better for me - that game - towards the end - does some stuff, symbolically, that i've never seen any other game even *try* and do since [with the exception of "dreamfall," but even that doesn't really come close] - i was particularly startled by how they worked her family history into things at the end.

That reminds me...

Later today I am going to write an email to the Funcom Online Shop and ask them if the copy of Dreamfall Limited Edition that I ordered has been sent (it was supposed to ship on April 30th if I am not mistaken).

I´m always happy to recognize an adventure scene of the day!
I was more enchanted by the Stark parts of the game, not saying that Arcadia was bad in any way.
Now I´m eagerly waiting for Dreamfall to arrive. I´ve ordered it but got a message from the web store that it´s delayed.

Nice one Melanie, beautiful scene. That one takes me back. I very rarely replay games but every two years or so I'm drawn back TLJ. I think it's comming upon that time again. Thanks.

I actually played that particular scene yesterday. I`m currently replaying it waiting for Dreamfall. I think it`s my fifth playthrough, which is a record. It`s my all time favourite.

Got an e-mail yesterday that my Dreamfall Limited Edition will arrive on Friday+-, so I have some time finishing TLJ.

I loved Arcadia, and was a bit sad when I had to go back to Stark.. I like the scene, but my game kept crashing there when I first played it (4-cd version) so I don't have only good memories from that part..

Nice pick One of the finer moments in the game (those alchemy puzzles were also pretty good, not too easy, not too hard, just perfect).

I'm only about halfway through the game, but I kind of prefer Stark over Arcadia. I'm not sure why. Although Captain Nebevay cracks me up!

I love the colours in that scene... which is why I sometimes use it as a desktop pattern. The other TLJ scene I occasionally use is the one of harbour.

Whenever Lorhan speaks, it's hard for me not to think of The Flipper, since the same actor does both voices!!!

It's not my main system. It's for playing the games that don't run on XP.

You must be rich to have both an XBOX 360 and an E-Machine. Because $467.23 is a lot of money.

You know The Longest Journey runs on XP, right? I've been running it all week myself. Although I am running it in Windows 98 Compatibility mode... Still, that counts.

Me uncle built it for me eight years ago, when it wasn't that big a piece. I'm guessing it was cheap to make.

You didn't know? Well, it's probably going to take awhile to install no matter what computer you use (unless the CD drive was like a 2x speed or something). So I don't think you'll save much time there, but at least you can play it on a nicer computer, I suppose.

A cheap E-Machine sounds like a good idea to play older games, though. I'm just giving you a hard time about it because, damn... an E-Machine.

Yeah, I love how my uncle is incredibly anti-Mac and says how crappy they are, yet turns around and gives me an E-Machine. Irony in this message.

Check this thread and do a search as well on the forums because this question has been asked before.
