1. Dreamfall: the longest journey
2. Paradise 3. Secrets of DaVinci: The Forbidden manuscript I haven't played borken sword or runaway, that's why I'm not looking forward to those games. I'm going to try Broken Sword soon, I just have to make the time.. Haven't tried Bone either, and thought I should wait until I actually have the posibility to buy the game. (Being under 18 I don't have a creditcard/Visa/Mastercard)

Have you gotten a 360 yet Trep? I'm still waiting for a price drop or two and for Microsoft to sort out the bugs. I think I learned from buying Xbox at launch in 2001. But really, without a 360 I've all but stopped gaming unfortunately, since there aren't many new releases coming out for Xbox.

Adventures:
- Dreamfall - Secret Files: Tunguska - Broken Sword 4 Other: - The Settlers II - Next Generation (this one is a remake of the original "The Settlers II", which was in my opinion the best of the whole series. Now it returns, only with 3D graphic (but don't fear, the settlers still look like they did in the original game, just rendered in 3D.), but still the great "Woosle-factor". - Neverwinter Nights 2 Can't think of anything else either. -

Adventure Game Elitist
|
I don't actually have a ranking, just a list of things I'm interested in. There are several games that are already out that I mean to purchase (Ankh, Scratches, Hammer & Sickle...) but due to living in Uruguay I haven't had the chance to do so yet.
I'll definitely be buying Paradise, Runaway 2 and Al Emmo when they come out. Secret Files: Tunguska too, although I don't know all that much about it. Simon 4, Broken Sword 4... erm... guess I'm just a sucker for sequels. I'm waiting for lots of Underground games, like The Legend of the Lost Lagoon, King's Quest 9, QfG2 VGA, PQ2 VGA, KQ3 VGA, etc. etc... Adventure games aside, I'm really looking forward to Bourgeoisie and Forlorn World. Don't think either will be coming out before half way through next year though...

I presume we're talking about adventure games here:
1) Dreamfall 2) Yakuza (Ryu Ga Gotoku) 3) Rule of Rose (fine, so it's a survival horror, close enough for me, but scratch it from this list if it bothers you) 4) 144 5) Chulip (would've been much higher, but I fear the English language version got cancelled, for real this time) Oh, and The Silver Lining.

Dreamfall...
Yeah that's about it for me too. Oh, and Sam & Max, but that's a big 'if' for this year. I guess if you didn't like the first Runaway game, and you aint a big Sokal fan, and you still need quite a bit of convincing on Revolutions next effort, then it pretty much narrows your list down considerably.

Dreamfall, Runaway 2 and Simon 4 all sound mighty nice , but I can't wait to see how Sam & Max turns out. We've been waiting for this game for over a decade, it better be good!

Adventures
Dreamfall Broken Sword: The Angel of Death (and I still need to get Ankh) Other Games Hellgate: London PREY I'm also vaguely keeping an eye on Gothic 3, Neverwinter Nights 2, Spore and Unreal Tournament 2007, but there's really not much left this year that I se as particularly essential. |
