Daemonica

I'm getting ready to try the 1-hour demo, and I was wondering if anyone else has tried it? I just found out, yesterday, that is it made with the engine I'm using(A6 aka 3D Gamestudio), so I'm happy to see Adventure Gamers giving it some exposure.

I've played through the entire game(once, second time on the way), and although it does have some minor control issues, as a whole it's a very entertaining game, rather short but replayable at least once to try out the seperate branches, good fun puzzles, nice dialogues, good voice acting of the main character, and not a bad story. Definitely recommended to all adventure gamers.

There are good bits. There are bad bits. There's an AG review a-comin'.

I was playing this and stopped after about half an hour. I couldn't figure out how to do anything! I was trying to give the one guard some water, finally managed to get him the flask thing and filled it with water, but then he wants booze. No idea how to get that, so I said screw it and quit. This is why I think there should be a system in place to download and try before you buy. If I like the game, I have no problme paying $50 for it. But if I don't, I'm just going to be ticked at having wasted money. Try before you buy is a win-win for everyone.

There's a 400-MB, 1-hour demo available. I mentioned it in the first post, and Adventure Gamers has it on their Daemonica page. If you like it, you pay $29.95 to unlock the rest.

Shame Meridan won't ship to Uruguay, I would have liked to buy the boxed version.

There's a different demo that doesn't have the 1-hour limit and allows you to play the first act:
