I'm a bit worried. The graphics seem awfully dated. I don't even see much improvement from BS3. While I am very tolerant of graphics the new generation of gamers isn't, and I'm afraid this will hurt sales.

An early April Fools joke perhaps?

I never thought I'd say this, but if they couldn't afford nice graphics, maybe they should've stuck with 2D. Then again, decent 2D art is not cheap either.

I can't say this is looking very impressive.

It sounds like they are making this game based on the success of 'The Da Vinci Code' and 'Angels and Demons'. Also, where is Nico? They didn't have her following George through the three previous games for nothing?

then compare with...

It's an exact likeness.

Joe Mantegna is the new Broken Sword villain!!!

Well said - if it's not broken don't fix it I say! I applaud any attempt to update and improve upon - but surely the tinkering that has gone on with BS3 and what seems to have continued into BS4 is to the game's detriment...and don't tell me there will be even more blocks to move!!!

I look back at the fine details of BS1 and BS2 of story and character development and I when I see this kind of thing...

Thanks for the update though.

Do you know - I was wondering where I recognised him from... Also I'm glad they've moved away from big busted stereotypical blondes as a sidekick...

Well, no. You see, Mantegna's lower lip hangs to the left, while BS4 villain's lip hangs to the right.

Actually, I think the BS4 character looks a bit more like Gene Simmons...

Argh! Come on guys, theres no way this can be a coincidence. I'll wager everything I have that Joe will be acting the part as well as providing his likeness. I mean they're all doing it these days...50 Cent, Al Pacino, even Marlon Brando and he's dead.

Then again, considering the quality of the graphics, he'd be unrecognizable by the time they got round to turning him into a character model in the actual game.

I'd like to see some screenshots with anti-aliasing before I get too worried.

It does not look promising, that's what I can tell you.
Those images don't represent the game at all in a good way...

Well, I kind of had a fear that this might happen now that Revolution is short on money and they had to let go of so many talented people (for example Steve Ince).

I'd certainly hope that would be early stuff. Anti-aliasing or no anti-aliasing, that's Hell on Wheels quality graphics.
