If, like me, you prefer joypad to mouse, you can even use an Xbox joypad with a USB converter: that’s what we use for development and testing.

It doesn't. But it says it's possible to only use the mouse if you wish (wasn't that the original question? Or was anybody genuinely worried that they'd spend time implementing a direct control scheme for the Xbox version, only to scrap it entirely for PCs? That'd be silly).

As I understand it, you can choose between playing with just the mouse, or mouse and keyboard, or a gamepad.

Edit: I`m a bit slow too

I wonder if they'll optimize it for HDTVs.

Both with options to play it entirely with the mouse, or more like Kotor and directly controlling the character via keyboard/pad/whatever. So that, in the end, even a console port might be a viable option. But yeah, that's exactly it (regarding this adventure vs yikes, mainstream paranoia, as if both were excluding themselves by definition): Back in the days of BS1 and 2, Rev could've gone with a text parser and no pretty pictures at all. Out of artistic interests or whatever. But that wasn't even an option since they wanted to make a game that people actually want to play.

Sellouts.

Actually, now that you mention it, has anyone heard of a game called Daemonica? It seems to be an Adventure/RPG Hybrid set in medieval england with a gameplay style similar to what you're speaking of. It's been out for a while in Poland, and I think it's supposed to be coming out in the US fairly soon.

Here's the website if anyone's interested. They have some screenshots and a trailer up for download.

did anyone mention too much mouse clicking/using over a long period of time will give you "Carpal tunnel syndrome " - The symptoms include tingling, numbness, weakness, or pain of the fingers, thumb, and hand.

So i enjoy games that allow me to use gamepad/keyboard more

Yeah, it got a surprisingly good feedback here (though with every possible synonym for "old-school" used in the reviews ad nauseam). I'd have already bought it, were it not so ridiculously overpriced.

Its interface seems to be more similar to good old Diablo, though. And just for clarification, it's a Czech game.
