hmm. I don't remember now that I uninstalled it but I do remember that I liked how it played a cute little ditty when you figured out how to open the chest. That was cool.

This isn't the beginning of the game. We saw the opening at E3, and this isn't it.
It crashed on me when I tried to get back on the ferry to leave. Also there was something weird going on with the voices. Sometimes they were clipped and there was no voice at all underwater (was it supposed to be that way?) Can't really blame them, since it's not an official English demo, but I hope it's not an indication of how well (or not) the game will work on my computer. |

^ The voices worked fine with me underwater.
Anyway, are you able to save your game in this demo? I'm still on the underwater part, so maybe it lets you save later at a certain point? |

Has anyone seen system specs for this game? Maybe my computer's not good enough. (If anything I'd expect to have video problems, though, and the video was just fine.)

Here are the specs (I don't think my video card meets it, but the game still ran fine on low settings):
System requirements: Processor 1,5 GHz Min Graphics Card Gforce 3 Min Win 98 / 2000 / Me / XP with Direct X 9.0c 256 MB RAM Min Source: http://www.bhv-software.com/english/ankh.html (linked from the official Ankh site) |

Have you tried reinstalling whatever codecs you use?

I meet those specs, except for the graphics card (I have a Geforce 2). Didn't try anything with codecs. I uninstalled the demo already.

1. The only problem I had encountered was the first cutscene freezing for the couple of seconds. I also have Geforce 2 card.
2. I believe it's impossible to save or load at any time during the demo (but when you get on the surface it really is almost the end).

Nice puzzles, great graphics&voices&music.. can't wait for the game to come out. It's too bad i need to play the game in 640x480 with low settings.. i really need to upgrade my comp i guess. |

Didn't care for it at all, but let that not prevent others from enjoying the game.

I'm not positive that the sense of humour has translated particularly well, and I effectively solved the puzzle by trial-and-error, but I'm still interested in this game...

This adventure game is really not my taste, but I believe it will sell quite well.

Spoiler:bit. I agree, it was actually hinted; I just wasn't thinking correctly at the time. Actually, part of it was hinted (the alteration of the object), but not specifically what should be done with it. Either way, I didn't think that this demo was too bad. If it gets a good review then I may well go for this. |
