I am going to file a complaint to PETA, RSPCA, and DTSchB e.V. (and maybe even NABU!)! Why? Because...

Circumstantial evidence, at best. Who knows about the holes. Family can be weird.

So, when are we making that big-budget, commercial sequel?

Christmas Quest
Hello, and Merry Christmas--
Not sure if I am the first one to mention it officially, but very nice Christmas idea by the AG think-tank. I found it enjoyable, but--more than anything--just plain rad. Thanks for doing something new. Kirk |

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
EDIT: Kirk, you totally posted in the right place, but because there is already a thread on the topic in the Adventure forum I just put them together. Last edited by fov; 12-26-2005 at 04:37 PM. |

The game is totally hilarious and awesome. Even though I knew the puzzles I could experience the writing largely unspoiled. Makes me wish I'd actually contributed though!
Alright, here's something to slap on the upcoming boxed version along with Martin's sweeping endorsement: "A riveting high-octane tour de force, bursting out at breakneck speed!" Wait, let me try again: "A stunning debut ... it's Grim Fandango meets The Beverly Hillbillies!" Okay, I got nothing... |

I liked how certain actions had animations of their own. Great job on the graphics, Erwin.

I'm glad I decided to go with WME if there are upper limits on AGS.

Hey, we agree! But the program said otherwise. It's still a pretty high ceiling, though. We just packed it tight.

In case anyone's curious, here's how the graphics broke down:
-Erwin did the menu items (look, walk, pan, etc.), the game box in inventory, and a couple animations (stacking gifts, put star on tree, and unwrapping presents). -Eriq did the rest of the inventory items (which looked much nicer before AGS got a hold of them ) and the title screen. -Jon did the background, tree springing-to-life animation, and all other animations that are part of the background (snow falling, fire glowing, etc.) The other animations and the sprite himself were created by friends of AGA's... I'm not exactly sure who did what, but maybe he can tell us. It was really exciting to me to see how everything came together, from concept to fully-formed (except where AGS wouldn't let it be fully-formed ) world. Last edited by fov; 12-27-2005 at 09:45 AM. |
