I'm sorry if I sounded harsh. It was just the numbers that bothered me, since it makes the whole thing seem too mechanical. Really, a much better option would be a list of places you've been to. That way, you wouldn't have to keep track of which key goes where. It's just a bad idea with numbers.

A list!- is that so much of a concession?


Seriously, numbers are a bad idea. I'm not joking. This isn't just personal preference. It's a bad idea because with this little, subtle enhancement suddenly the player feels like he's pressing the buttons on a machine rather than being involved in a story. Letters could work, but not very well. On-screen lists are where it's at. Numbers are the worst. No numbers.
