It also promises rich, detailed worlds to explore, along with plenty to do, as we recently discovered when we got an updated look at the game. We last saw Dreamfall at E3 in May, so naturally, it has come a long way since then.

Great videos! Since there will be combat in the game, I hope they do it better i.e. intuitive in terms of controls and gameplay. Graphics are wonderful, pity she doesn't leave footmarks on the snow

Gah, I'm finding it really hard not to get hyped up for this now.

Ragnar had better deliver!

(Not that I have any doubts that he will)

I like the older, more mature look of April. I think they did a very nice job with her character model.

I hope the series is closed out with Dreamfall, though. As good as the upcoming game may and hopefully will be, endless sequels tend to have a degrading effect.

I think Ragnar has already hinted in his blog that this is going to be a trilogy. Which is very awesome.

endless sequels? It is just the first one. You are confusing it with King's Quest perhaps

I kind of agree with you, but Dreamfall seems to be making a lot of changes. It's not just another game about April, for example, and that's a good design choice .

Uh...no. I mean, Dreamfall needs to be the last. We don't want a series WITH endless sequels.

Absolutely. I agree. But it needs to stay this way.

If they were all unique in their own way, then I don't see a problem with their being more of them. It's just another game set in the same universe after all.

(The next game should be a tennis game set in Marcuria btw)

Anyway, there won't be endless sequels. There will likely be a third game to end the trilogy though which is, given the fact that it'll be as different from Dreamfall as Dreamfall is from TLJ, a very good thing in my opinion.

God, hopefully, that screenshot is an old one. I'm not a big graphics whore but even I think that particular screenshot looks quite bad. Is it just me or the characters seem very flat and they seem to be floating on the background? Aren't we just a fre months away from the release?

Then again, many consider King's Quest 6 to be the best part of the series. What if Sierra decided to abandon it after KQ2?

I personally care all that much about graphics in my games so I do not think I will have any problems myself. I liked TLJ because of a wonderful story and a great cast of characters. I'm sure my experience with Dreamfall will be similar but graphics looking that bad might affect its overall success. Maybe, that one screenshot is an aberration.
