Yeah, I saw this. Wish I had some spare money to buy those. :)
|
I want those signed prints so badly, don´t have the money though! :frusty:
|
Holy god, it´d be beyond awesome to own those signed Sam + Max prints!
That t-shirt is also pretty sweet.:) :9 |
Nice merchandise. :)
I also like how the comic is sort of interactive when you scroll over the boxes. :D |

*goes back to read comic* Cool.:) Notice how the comic sez that it´s set at Kilpeck Church, England? In the 12th century in Kilpeck they discovered this: http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/244...max29vh.th.jpg Hmmm, fascinating.:) :7 |
$7.10 for the cheapest form of shipping? They must be out of their mind (though if it was DOTT I would buy it). ;)
Here's the direct link to the merchandise BTW: http://www.telltalegames.com/products?dc=snm Man I feel so guilty for not playing Sam and Max yet. If LucasArts still sold that 3-game adventure pack (discontinued last year) I'd be all over it, even though I already own the other 2 games on CD. |

I'd rather wait for people to sell it on ebay for that price.

I was noticing the shipping prices seemed pretty high when they first put the Bone books up there. I bought some for a Christmas gift for a family member, and was going to buy them from Telltale. But with those shipping prices I just went to Barnes & Noble.
|
I wish companies would stop using high shipping prices. How can $7.10 be called economy? I know for a fact that it does not cost that much to ship a freaking T-Shirt.
The whole point of it is to make the product price appear lower than they actually want it to be. |
That's why some people charge high shipping prices on eBay, yeah. In this case, though, I doubt Telltale is seeing any money from the shipping. Those prices are probably determined by whoever is handling distribution for them.
|
^ Yep. I agree with Ebay thing. I've seen people selling a game for 1 cent but charging $19.99 for shipping. It's a total scam. And people fall for it too because they don't pay attention to the shipping price listed in the auction (sometimes it is only shown in fine print).
|
Well, it's over US$37 UPS International to ship to New Zealand. No economy rates.
Still, on the Telltale Forums, Troy's been alerted to the situation and is looking into it. :) Quote:

yeah $38 shipping for a $17 shirt to australia.. Troy from telltale is looking into this problem.. I know a few sites hive went to buy stuff and been stopped by the damn ups shipping..
|
A proper max cost for shipping to Finland from US should be about $15.
The page is saying $36.35, not even UPS costs are that high when I buy stuff from ebay... |
Its a bit ironic when you're postage costs more than the item you buy. :)

New Sam and Max web comic

Thanks for the heads up.

Looks like the comics going to be story arcs instead of random

Good thing it's not a fan comic

On a Sam&Max note - I like how The Sun has made an appearance and a mention of the cerebral cortex! :P |
Are all of this going to be in the game from the comic book.

I have a feeling the villains of this comic are going to be some guys in suits working for a certain formerly-loved games company...
Absolutely excellent comic, and I loved the |

First time I saw they had Sam & Max comics on there. They rock! :D I'm a bit puzzled by the continuing story-line approach though, given that they publish one page a month...
|
Jeez, why is everyone being so bitchy today? :(
Filmman, no, the game will not necessarily be the same as the comics that are coming out right now. But Steve Purcell will be working with Telltale as they develop the game, so we can assume that whatever they come up with will have his stamp of approval. |

I was just curious, I didn't know he coulden't speak english very well. Here I thought he was talking in newbie form. :P No worries. |
The Sam & Max comic remains great. I'm looking forward to criticising the view of Britain ;).
|
|
This is Steve Purcell´s first Sam and Max comic in a looong time.I think the last issue of the S&M comicbook came out in 1992, right?
Although he´s done a bunch of comics with our favourite duo in that fanmagazine that Lucasarts used to put out.:) |
I'm not a big fan of the delayed balloons. The mouse-overs are cool, but in some panels with more than one balloon, the second balloons appear a bit later, which distracts me while reading the text in the first balloon. Did that make sense? :)

I know what you mean, but I kind of like the idea. The main problem I have with it is that in IE when I hover over the picture I get a bar (with options like save and print) that blocks the top corner of the frame and often covers one of the word balloons.
